Anthony J. Kerin, III is a founding member of Flicker, Kerin, Kruger and Bissada, and has practiced in California for over 30 years. Mr. Kerin leads the firm's practice and his own practice in a full range of complex business and corporate issues, real estate transactions and disputes, construction negotiations and contracts, civil litigation and arbitration as well as aiding the Family Law Department in these areas. Mr. Kerin's clients include corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, developers, real estate investors, property managers, contractors, individuals and estates. The diversity and complexity of Mr. Kerin's client base and practice areas allows him to skillfully provide guidance and meticulous cost-benefit analysis. Business/Corporate

With over 30 years of business and corporate practice and actual prior business experience, Mr. Kerin has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the formation of business entities, mergers, acquisitions and sales of privately held companies. Mr. Kerin's dynamic practice allows him to confidently advise his corporate clients on employment law compliance, executive compensation and severance agreements. In addition, Mr. Kerin provides business and corporate counseling in connection with directors, shareholders and partnership operational management, as well as corporate formality compliance, contract negotiation and drafting.

Real Estate Law

Mr. Kerin represents, defends and advises clients on all aspects of real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale, exchange and lease of commercial and residential properties, co-ownership management and operational counseling, as well as landlord and tenant compliance.

Construction Law

Mr. Kerin successfully handles a variety of construction matters, including representation and counseling of owners, designers and contractors on the drafting and negotiation of commercial and residential building and home improvement contracts.

Family Law

Mr. Kerin's broad knowledge and experience in business, partnership, corporate, real estate and civil matters is indispensable to the Family Law Department. Mr. Kerin's expertise is an especially crucial component of providing high net worth clients with diligent and thorough representation (protection) in their dissolution. (Including valuation of community property held business and real estate holdings and drafting post dissolution joint ownership agreements of retained real estate holdings.)

Civil Litigation and Arbitration

Mr. Kerin has a distinguished track record of successfully prosecuting and defending a broad array of civil matters, and has extensive court trial, arbitration and mediation experience concerning business and commercial contract, real estate and construction disputes.

Professional Involvement

Mr. Kerin is a longstanding member of the California State Bar, the Palo Alto Area Bar Association, and the Santa Clara and San Mateo Bar Associations. Mr. Kerin is also a panel member on the roster of experienced attorneys who are referred judicial arbitration cases from the Santa Clara County and San Mateo County Bar Association. This position enables Mr. Kerin to provide his clients with deeper mastery and ability to negotiate for their interests. Mr. Kerin has presided as arbitrator in over ten commercial litigation cases from these bar associations over the past five years.

Community Involvement

Mr. Kerin serves on the Board of two Non Profit Charitable Foundations. In his spare time, Mr. Kerin enjoys playing competitive tennis with the U.S. Tennis Association throughout Northern California, competitive golf with the Northern California Golf Association and raising his two sons.
